A ping (Packet Inter-Network [Internet] Groper) is a way of notifying major search engines that your blog has been updated. Ping sites give the service on updating different search engines that your blog has new fresh content. This concept is similar to website url submission to most search engines with the different is on the newly updated content published at your blog for pinging, publishing your blog contents, and increasing your blog's popularity. ping4free (Google PR=0/10). ping4free offers a blog ping service that pings well over 130 tested and functioning blog directories. You must register first, but registration is totally free. Previously the site was inactive (through Google search) but updated on 16-05-2009. Status OK when checked through www.who.is

technorati (Google PR=7/10). It is a reputable site where you can also claim your site. technorati also will automatically crawl your site if you register (registration is also free).

Pingler.com (Google PR=3/10). Pingler.com is currently have 91 sites for ping submission.

Pingoat (Google PR=3/10). Pingoat offer pinging to more than 40 servers within few seconds.

kping or King Ping (Google PR=4/10); is another good pinging service. The site requires a registration (It’s free) before you can start pinging with real time ping service. It provides 60 web services for you.

ipings (Google PR=3/10) is very easy to use and fast without registration. It forward your feeds to more than 30 web services.

Feedburner (Google PR=0/10). Feedburner is under Google, and if you are using it, you can notify Feedburner about your updated feed and your feed will be updated immediately.
